Educational programming slated to begin in March.
The Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC), the state of Georgia’s technology incubator, announced a new partnership with the Sandy Springs Innovation Center (SSIC) that will bring its startup education programing to companies in Sandy Springs and the North Perimeter area.
This new partnership, the seventh for ATDC, continues its mission of working with technology startups across Georgia and provides SSIC with a full suite of services to support growing companies in Sandy Springs and North Perimeter.
The SSIC is a nonprofit corporation established in 2017 to create a networking asset for businesses in Sandy Springs. Original funding was provided by Comcast and the Sandy Springs Development Authority.
“ATDC looks forward to working with SSIC to build a strong innovation culture within Sandy Springs,” said Ben Andrews, ATDC’s statewide program manager. “With the number of corporate and regional headquarters that call Sandy Springs home, there’s a great opportunity to tap into those companies and leverage their resources to build on that momentum.”
The ATDC @ Sandy Springs programming is slated to kick off in March with office hours. In April, ATDC @ Sandy Springs will launch a program Customer Discovery for companies. Additional programming will include consultation with an ATDC entrepreneur-in-residence, technology roundtables, and statewide webinars on topics for companies interested in scaling their business.
A program of the Georgia Institute of Technology, ATDC was founded in 1980 to help technology entrepreneurs learn, launch, scale, and succeed in the creation of successful businesses in the state. Since its founding, ATDC has developed a global reputation for fostering technological entrepreneurship, with Forbes naming ATDC to its list of “Incubators Changing the World” in 2010 and 2013, alongside Y Combinator and the Palo Alto Research Center.
In bringing its programming to the Sandy Springs Innovation Center, ATDC joins a vibrant community in Northpark Town Center where entrepreneurs, small businesses, and teams connect and collaborate. Co-working facilities and educational programs are available to build an innovation ecosystem that creates and enhances business opportunities.
“SSIC is excited to partner with ATDC,” Michael Robertson, ATDC’s executive director. “Having the support of one of the nation’s leading programs in ATDC, we can provide world-class educational and collaboration that will build an innovation ecosystem to support businesses in Sandy Springs.”
