The word is that a Continuing Resolution to extend the SBIR program will be passed by Congress before the March 20th program expiration date. Without such an extension the SBIR program would die. However, the extension may only be for 60 or 90 days. Will reauthorization be passed during this new extension? Probably not. So why not or why not a longer extension? Perhaps someone who understands Washington politics can explain that. At any rate your members of Congress need to hear that the SBIR program is important to those in his district, so do not hesitate to express your opinion.
