NIST-DOC (National Institute of Science & Technology-Department of Commerce) has pre-released their 2009 solicitation with 42 SBIR Topics.  The full solicitation will be released on November 12th and will close on January 22nd.  Phase 1 Awards will be awarded up to $90,000.

The purpose of Phase 1 is to conduct feasibility related experimental or theoretical research or research and development (R&D) in order to determine the scientific or technical merit/feasibility of concepts/ideas as prerequisite for further NIST support under Phase 2 of the SBIR Program. Firms or individuals receiving awards under Phase 1 will be eligible to compete for Phase 2 contracts.
