Haste
WEBSITE: haste.net
eSports, or competitive online gaming, has grown rapidly to include an expected 250MM+ users this year with no sign of slowing down.
These users consistently face game challenges due to pervasive network “lag” on the Internet. Lag degrades competitiveness in-game and causes enormous player frustration…which rolls down onto the game companies and ISPs. With growing usage, increasingly high-stakes competitive play, and the additional demands of technologies like VR and live streaming, the problem gets worse.
Haste is a network service that improves network performance and user experience. Haste makes the player quicker to react in-game and prevents “freezing up” in battle. This can be the difference between winning and losing — living or dying — every time they play. Players install a simple software client which routes game traffic across the Haste network, designed from the ground up to minimize latency, packet loss and jitter.
