ATDC Graduate Neurotic Media, a B2B music aggregation and streaming service, has announced that they have been acquired by Peloton. This is the first acquisition for Peloton. The entire team at Neurotic Media will stay on in their Atlanta headquarters as a standalone subsidiary, with founder Shachar “Shac” Oren taking a VP role with Peloton, working under Peloton’s Head of Music Paul DeGooyer.
Founded in 2001, Neurotic Media is a digital music aggregator, streaming and download source. They graduated from the ATDC in 2008. Their do-it-yourself admin platform allows content owners such as artists, record companies, and distributors to manage their digital assets on a project-by-project basis. This includes both business-to-business-to-consumer initiatives and direct-to-consumer projects. This allows companies to quickly and easily connect with and use music that fits their brand.
Peloton brings high quality workouts to a users home, and music is a major part of their platform.
“Our Members have embraced music as central to the Peloton experience and consistently rank it as one of the top aspects of the brand,” said DeGooyer. “The addition of Shac and his amazing team to the Peloton family will help us rapidly deploy new music features we know our Members want, along with some unique innovations we think they’ll love.”
“We’re proud to join Peloton’s world-class team, and excited to help bring the kind of Member experience breakthroughs the brand is known for to their already powerful music solution,” added Neurotic Media’s Oren. “Peloton’s platform, instructors and community present a rich environment for music ideation and innovation. We’re looking forward to amplifying Peloton’s technology to help Members achieve their fitness goals while discovering great music along the way.”
