NextInput closes $8 million Series A funding round

NextInput said it completed its latest funding round of $8 million, led by Sierra Ventures and two strategic corporate investors. Suniva founder named Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors

AGL meets funding goals, invites strategic partnerships

AGL, a member of the Advanced Technology Development Center’s (ATDC) Accelerate program, said it expects to release its veterinarian and animal care sensor-analytics technologies in 2016. “We have assembled a team with years of experience using analytics-based systems to provide unique insights into animal health,” Joe Young, AGL’s chief operating officer, said in a statement. Velocity Medical System’s parent company opens East Coast hub in Atlanta

Varian Medical Systems, a global maker of cancer treatment devices and software, opened its East Coast hub Nov. 30 in metro Atlanta. Predikto European expansion to create Atlanta jobs

Predikto, a Signature company of the Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC), said it will create at least five new engineering jobs at its Atlanta headquarters to support its expansion into Europe. SoftWear Automation launches LOWRY advanced sewing robot line

SoftWear Automation, a developer of fully automated sewing technologies and a graduate company of the Advanced Technology Development Center’s Signature program, launched its LOWRY line of advanced sewing robots. ATDC names Eric Parker Augusta startup catalyst

Eric Parker has joined the Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) @ Augusta as a startup catalyst. Parker most recently served as founder and chairman of the Clubhou.se/Hack in Augusta, where he managed and cultivated relationships with investors, entrepreneurs, and community technology leaders.
