How to License Georgia Tech IP Expo

As a follow-up to our very successful August event:  “How to do Business with Georgia Tech, the ATDC is hosting an expo-style event on Thursday, November 8th from 5 pm -7 pm where you can ask the experts and get additional information on how to take the next steps in doing business with Georgia Tech to access and license IP.

The expo will feature:

  • Finn Findley: CEO, Quest Renewables to share how he commercialized IP from Georgia Tech
  • Scott Bryant: managing partner, Hutchison PLLC to answer questions about the legal aspect and process to license IP
  • Mark Coburn: senior associate director of technology licensing, GTRC to answer general questions about the Georgia Tech Research Corporation
  • Rene Meadors, GTRC to help you search the Georgia Tech database of intellectual property available to license
  • Connie Casteel: SBIR/STTR Catalyst, ATDC to answer how you can get access to government funding for your startup.
  • Jane McCracken: Assistant Director, ATDC to answer how who can talk about the resources of state of Georgia’s incubator
  • Jeff Garbers: Principal, VentureLab to discuss about the resources available to Georgia Tech faculty and staff to help commercialize IP.

    We are doubling the celebration as we honor the 2020 ATDC graduating companies and commemorate the 40th anniversary of the ATDC's founding via multiple activities including exhibitions, movies, and entertainment.

    • 6:35 pm ATDC History & Graduate Exhibits Open & Virtual Exhibit Tour Begins
    • 6:40 pm ATDC House Band “The Entrepreneurs” Perform
    • 7:00 pm Kick off of the program and premiere of ATDC's movie
    • 7:30 pm Livestreaming ends and drive-in guests will enjoy the 80s hit movie Ghostbusters

    About Drive-In Tickets

    Our in-person venue has space for 100 cars, so tickets will be limited and are expected to sell out.

    • On September 11th, we will be inviting ATDC Portfolio members and special guests to purchase their early access ticket through a special email invitation.
    • On September 18th, we will release any remaining tickets for the general public.

    A car pass costs $99 dollars and includes up to two people. Tickets for additional passengers can be purchased as "add-ons" for $50 per person. A drive-in ticket includes:

    • Drive-by tours of 2020 graduate exhibit and ATDC's 40-year history exhibit
    • Entertainment by The Entrepreneurs
    • Premiere of ATDC movie
    • Screening of the 1984 movie Ghostbusters
    • Gift bag per person
    • Food and drink vouchers (valued at $30 per person)

    About Livestreaming Tickets

    Livestreaming is free. Attendees will receive the link to tune-in after registering. A livestreaming ticket includes:

    • Video tours of 2020 graduate exhibit and ATDC's 40-year history exhibit
    • Entertainment by The Entrepreneurs
    • Premiere of ATDC movie
