10:00-10:15 Intro to the AWS team
Meet Startups Manager Vincent Ponzo and Solution Architect Roshan Kothari of the AWS Startups team. Learn about the variety of ways AWS can support you on your journey as a founder and a startup.

10:15-11:15 Startups Day One
This session will address the most common questions founders have when launching on AWS. Learn how to use AWS to build your web-stack, how to choose the right database and how to build your machine learning solution. Most importantly, learn how to build a secure and compliant solution from the start.

11:30-12:30 Lunch will be provided

12:30-1:30 Working session
Best practices for setting-up your AWS account
This hour long session will discuss base level best practices for getting started on AWS. These include securing the root account, creating users, groups and permissions, discussing roles and policies, using the AWS certificate manager to generate a cert and use with your website/app/api. We’ll also discuss how to set your AWS infrastructure (VPC, serverless and hybrids).

2:30-4:30 AWS SageMaker Lab

Amazon SageMaker is a fully-managed platform that enables developers and data scientists to quickly and easily build, train, and deploy machine learning models at any scale. This workshop demonstrates the main features of SageMaker via a set of straightforward examples for common use cases. The first module in particular shows how to do exploratory data analysis, run hosted training, and stand up hosted model endpoints via SageMaker Jupyter notebook instances, the AWS CLI, and the SageMaker console.

Technical Proficiency: Mid/high-level technical expertise and basic machine learning knowledge. Relevant to technical founders and those interested in Machine Learning

    About Drive-In Tickets

    Our in-person venue has space for 100 cars, so tickets will be limited and are expected to sell out.

    • On September 11th, we will be inviting ATDC Portfolio members and special guests to purchase their early access ticket through a special email invitation.
    • On September 18th, we will release any remaining tickets for the general public.

    A car pass costs $99 dollars and includes up to two people. Tickets for additional passengers can be purchased as "add-ons" for $50 per person. A drive-in ticket includes:

    • Drive-by tours of 2020 graduate exhibit and ATDC's 40-year history exhibit
    • Entertainment by The Entrepreneurs
    • Premiere of ATDC movie
    • Screening of the 1984 movie Ghostbusters
    • Gift bag per person
    • Food and drink vouchers (valued at $30 per person)

    About Livestreaming Tickets

    Livestreaming is free. Attendees will receive the link to tune-in after registering. A livestreaming ticket includes:

    • Video tours of 2020 graduate exhibit and ATDC's 40-year history exhibit
