Does your startup have physical products in its vision? Does it face the 'build it' challenge? Does it need to build prototypes? Products? Does it need to build manufacturing processes? Does it need support or access to big ticket tooling and facilities in order to build? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then the Product Circle may be for you. Come and participate in this discussion among peers, whether your product is in the idea stage or has already entered the market. This circle is also an excellent entry point to learn about the myriad of lab facilities available at Georgia Tech for use by startups.

    About the class

The Department of Defense (DoD), concerned over the continued loss and compromise of data in the industrial base supply chain, has developed a mandatory program to lessen the risks of future losses. In the future to conduct any business with DoD or DoD prime contractors, a CMMC 3rd party certification will be required for all members of the Defense Industrial Base (DIB). With this imperative, commencing on 1 December 2020 – it is important to understand what CMMC means to you.

Sentinel Defense,  a firm with 20 years of experience of marketing to the Dept of Defense (DOD) and defense contractors and composed of all retired, former  and reserve military officers with cybersecurity experience will present an overview of what is necessary for ATDC firms to do to prepare for this mandatory requirement.

    About the instructors

American Defense Group, Inc. (ADG), a 19 year old, Atlanta Georgia based  manufacturer’s representative firm, specializing in sales to DoD and the U.S. defense contractor community has teamed with Sentinel Defense Group, also an Atlanta-based defense cybersecurity firm staffed by former U.S. Army  Cybersecurity officers to develop an informational presentation to create awareness on the CMMC program.
