SVForum’s World Cup Tech Challenge seeks applicants for its international competition scheduled for June 4 at Microsoft Corp.’s Silicon Valley campus.
Startups accepted into the World Cup Tech Challenge are in a pre-global stage, meaning they have launched their products in their respective local markets and now ready for a global launch.
The application deadline is May 4 and contestants will need to upload an executive summary not to exceed two pages and they are encouraged to submit a 2-minute video pitch. (Apply via this link: http://www.worldcuptech.com/registration-2/)
The winner takes home a cash prize, a 3D-printed cup, and receives one-on-one meeting opportunities with Silicon Valley’s leading investors. To be eligible, startups must fall into one of the following categories:
- Already have a product or service available in the market.
- Have yet to introduce their product or service in the global marketplace for more than a few months prior to the event. (This means that you might already have launched your product in your local market, gained traction and perhaps even revenue and you’re now ready for a global launch.)
- Startups that fit in one of these six sectors: Digital Media-Mobile, Next Gen Technology, FinTech, Enterprise Software, EdTech, or HealthTech.
The executive summaries and video pitches will be evaluated by a board of judges with expertise in the six tech categories.
