Why gender bias affects venture funding of women-led startups

Dr. Lucie Ide, CEO of Atlanta-based Rimidi, a software company focused on improving the lives of individuals living with chronic diseases, and an ATDC Signature company, was featured on Forbes.com about women, gender bias, and venture funding.

“Despite studies showing that companies with diversity of all sorts, especially gender diversity, outperform other companies, women-led firms lag behind men in funding or even being considered for funding mainly because of gender bias,” Ide writes in her guest column.
