Rimidi, an Atlanta digital health company, is one of 12 businesses selected by the Georgia Economic Development Center to showcase its technology as part of the Georgia Pavilion at HIMSS 2017, the largest gathering of health IT companies in the United States..
A startup in the Advanced Technology Development Center’s ATDC Signature portfolio, Rimidi’s diabetes management platform, Diabetes+Me, empowers patients and providers to identify and close diabetes management gaps, meet patient glucose targets, and create a more efficient care cycle. Rimidi’s platform provides a unique combination of remote patient monitoring, population management and clinical decision support capabilities.
“I am honored that Rimidi was selected to be part of the Georgia Pavilion at HIMSS,” said Rimidi CEO Dr. Lucie Ide. “Rimidi is one of more than 200 health IT companies in Georgia at the forefront of digital health. We’re excited to be part of that.”
Rimidi is one of three companies representing Innovation Crescent Georgia, an economic development partnership of more than 15 counties and economic development entities dedicated to supporting Georgia’s life science and technology growth. The conference takes place Feb. 19-23 in Orlando.
“Rimidi is an example of the types of companies we look to attract, retain and foster,” said Nick Masino, chairman of the board of the Innovation Crescent Regional Partnership. “Rimidi’s diabetes technology is improving healthcare, and we’re excited to showcase them and the great work they’re doing.”
Rimidi will announce its recent membership in Cerner’s Open Developer Experience community. Its app, Diabetes+Me, is available to Cerner clients that have deployed Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR), a data format standard that allows apps to communicate with electronic health records. Cerner and Rimidi will be demonstrating the integrated solution as part of the Interoperability Showcase during HiMMS.
Dr. Ide will also be on hand at Cerner’s booth, discussing Rimidi’s recent FHIR integration to Cerner’s HealtheLife patient portal, providing an end-to-end integrated solution for patients and providers.
