WHAT IS ATDC SCALEUP LAB AND WHO IS IT FOR?
Early on, there is a lot of learning and education for would-be entrepreneurs who want to refine their ideas, see if there is a market for their solutions and if customers really see those products as solving genuinely challenging issues.
Typically, these entrepreneurs will have gone through the foundational learning and education curricula, through programs such as ATDC Educate or CREATE-X. While they may have the fundamentals, they may not quite be ready for investors, to launch or scale at an ambitious pace.
Please note: While ScaleUp Lab is the next step for entrepreneurs after completing the ATDC Educate curriculum in terms of startup growth and development, it is not required that ScaleUp Lab participants go through ATDC Educate or be part of Georgia Tech. They do, however, have to be Georgia-based and must have completed a similar educational series to be considered. To apply, follow this link: atdc.org/scaleup-application-to-join.
The ATDC ScaleUp Lab was established to serve this pool of entrepreneurs who have mastered the fundamental basics, but aren’t yet market or scale ready. ScaleUp Lab offers revolutionary content that enables startups to commercialize technologies, attract investment, and move from search to scale. Complementing the ScaleUp Lab effort is the ATDC Mentor Studio, which establishes a mentor pool with systematic mentoring procedures to boost startups through scale-up and successful market launch. These combined efforts will become the new standard for moving high-potential ventures from incubation to acceleration to market penetration. It contains the vital blocking and tackling that startups need to advance beyond a business model canvas and product-market fit.
