With more than 20 years of experience handling Internet development projects, Mark Treager knows a thing or two about website design. The founder and Chief Evangelist for Cornerstone Media Group has served as both a programmer and designer and is well-versed in technology aimed at generating customers. He will share his insight on responsive website design with young entrepreneurs during ATDC’s Tech Talks today.
“By the end of 2013, more people will get information from their smart device, rather than their desktop computer,” said Treager. “By planning to create a responsive website from the beginning, you have the opportunity to reach the greatest number of potential customers – regardless of the screen size of the device they are using – from the moment you go live.”
Tech Talks is a monthly seminar dedicated to topics important to chief technology officers, vice presidents of engineering, directors of development and developers. During the upcoming session, which runs from 4 to 6 pm in the Community Room, Treager will provide an overview of how to effectively plan, code and deploy a responsive website that makes sense.
“It’s fairly easy to accomplish, but you need careful planning and understanding of how CSS3 and HTML5 integrate to make it all flow seamlessly from device to device,” he said.
