SoloHealth, the National Health Museum, and the Georgia Department of Community Health announced a partnership to launch SoloHealth’s new Personal Health Advisor kiosks to areas across Georgia. The initiative kicked off in late October in Blakely, Georgia where residents of Early County can access a Personal Health Advisor kiosk for free health screening services. After the initial trial in Blakely, the groups plan to make the health screening kiosks available for statewide use.
With this new product rollout, SoloHealth and its parters hope to increase access to health care while reducing health care costs. The intuitive, easy to use Personal Health Advisor kiosks will particularly benefit uninsured or under-insured Georgians, a group more likely to suffer from heart disease, obesity, diabetes and cancer. The partnership furthers the missions of the contributing organizations to educate and motivate Americans to live healthier lives through health care planning.
The Personal Health Advisor is a follow on product for SoloHealth. Founder and CEO Bart Foster was awarded the 2006 Entrepreneur of the Year Award for commercializing the company’s first product, EyeSite. EyeSite is a self-service vision testing kiosk that provides consumers with a free assessment of their vision, information about common eye health conditions, and referrals to local eye care practitioners. You can try out an EyeSite kiosk in many metro-Atlanta Kroger locations.
