Simatra Modeling Technologies announced at Start-Up Riot that they received notification of a $1.5 million SBIR Award from NIH (National Institutes of Health) to continue their work in developing a low-cost, high-speed platform for neural modeling. That’s a lot of money to get without giving up any equity. And there is $650 million more to go around this year. Would you like to get your hands on some of that?
If so then you are going to want to be at the National NIH SBIR STTR Conference being held in Atlanta July 22nd-23rd. Representatives from all the NIH institutes will be on hand to meet one-on-one with companies (and potential companies) about their research and potential technologies. Sessions on proposal instruction, university start-ups, commercialization assistance will also be included as well as a poster session which will give SBIR/STTR Phase II awardees the opportunity to present their developed technologies. You can register to attend here. It costs $150.
