Due to ongoing cleanup efforts following Hurricane Matthew, the Creative Coast is delaying its annual Geekend conference originally scheduled for Oct. 14-15 in Savannah, Georgia’s historic district.
“While we’re disappointed to have to postpone Geekend, it has become clear that recovery efforts for attendees, presenters, friends and family take precedence over staging a conference,” said Kait Lance the Creative Coast’s community manager. “We look forward to hosting a vibrant and energetic conference soon.”
The annual entrepreneurship and technology conference, now in its third year with The Creative Coast, has quickly become known for its intentionally interdisciplinary content to connect the brightest designers, coders, innovators, artists, technology mavericks and forward-thinking entrepreneurs.
The Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) at Georgia Tech, was an event co-sponsor.
