ATLANTA — Bravo LLC, an affiliate of Bravo Infrastructure Group (Bravo), has acquired Quest Renewables Inc. (Quest).
A 2020 graduate of the Advanced Technology Development Center’s (ATDC) startup portfolio, Quest was formed in 2014 to commercialize technology that was developed with the U.S. Department of Energy and the Georgia Tech Research Institute. Quest received further support from the Georgia Research Alliance and investment from the GRA Venture Fund.
Today, Quest is a leading solar canopy solutions provider, and its patented racking design provides the most efficient and safest solar canopy solution in the industry.
The acquisition allows Bravo to enhance its portfolio of renewable energy infrastructure, which also includes Radiance Solar, a leading distributed generation EPC firm. Steve Newby, CEO of Bravo, expressed his enthusiasm for the acquisition: “We are thrilled to add Quest Renewables into our renewable energy platform. Quest is a leader in the solar canopy space whose product enhances efficiency and safety while providing superior aesthetics to our customers parking areas,” he said.
“We believe the solar canopy industry is primed to grow significantly as we maximize the use of existing, and abundant parking areas to contribute to the country’s long term energy transition to cleaner renewable energy.”
Finn Findley, CEO of Quest Renewables, echoed those sentiments. “Joining forces with Bravo opens new avenues for growth and innovation. Quest will now be able to offer the comprehensive suite of services our customers desire, including full design and construction services.”
He credited ATDC as being a crucial component of Quest’s success.
“Quest’s acquisition by Bravo Infrastructure Group is, like any true entrepreneurial success. It really is fundamentally the product of employees, advisors, and investors,” “ATDC stands out in its ability to provide the right advice, training, and support that evolved as our company grew, but was consistently there with us for many years. The secret sauce is the word, ‘with’ rather than ‘for.’ Their people cared about our outcome, which makes all the difference.”
