The Startup Chronicles: AccelerEyes, Scripts That Fly

October 8, 2010 by ei2admin

AccelerEyes, an ATDC member company, is accelerating the pace of innovation and decision making.

The Center for Disease Control recently used the AccelerEyes Jacket platform technology to decrease the time needed to run a research model from 40 days down to less than 1 day. And that is not an isolated success case. Video content analysis (Google), drug delivery modeling (Georgia Tech), and radar imaging (System Planning Corp) are a few more of the many examples of how this mostly bootstrapped company is speeding up computations for hundreds of customers in more than twenty countries in diverse applications such as defense, biomedical, financial, and academic applications.

AccelerEyes launched in 2007 to commercialize Jacket, the first software platform to deliver productivity in computing on graphics processing units (GPUs). Based in Atlanta, GA., the privately held company is led by Dr. John Melonakos who received a Ph.D. in ECE from Georgia Tech and completed the TI:GER technology commercialization training program in 2008.

AccelerEyes enables the march to faster, better understanding of the world around us by making supercomputing more accessible. Exponential growth of technological progress is a modern reality, and ATDC is proud that one of our members is leading the way.
