The 2016 ATDC Food Drive was a success!
The six-week campaign in which ATDC portfolio companies and staff donated, money, canned goods, and other foodstuffs and items, raised $3,698. The food drive collected 1,723 pounds of food and other items such as diapers.
In all, the cash and food donated to the Atlanta Community Food Bank is enough to make 14,792 meals that will go to feed hungry families and individuals across metro Atlanta.
The 2016 total far surpassed the 2015 tally which raised $1,585 in cash — an increase of 133 percent — and 619 pounds of food. The 2015 results were enough to make 6,340 meals.

The strong showing is a result of ATDC companies’ strong participation, but three startups deserve special recognition for donating the most:
- Luma
- Florence Healthcare
- UserIQ
The Atlanta Community Food Bank works with more than 600 nonprofit partners — including food pantries, community kitchens, childcare centers, night shelters, and senior centers — to distribute more than 50 million meals to more than 755,000 in 29 counties across metro Atlanta and northern Georgia.
