About the HealthTech Program

The ATDC Healthcare Technology Program creates a unique collaboration between a nonprofit, a university-based incubator, and major healthcare-focused firms to help launch and scale HealthTech companies in Georgia. The ATDC HealthTech program fosters innovation to address the quadruple aim of healthcare: to improve the health of populations, enhance patients’ healthcare experience, reduce the per capita cost of healthcare, and improve healthcare providers’ work-life balance.

Started in 2018, ATDC’s HealthTech vertical is currently ATDC’s largest vertical with 30+ active portfolio companies. Since the program’s inception, ATDC has graduated six graduating HealthTech vertical companies and reported $150M+ in investment capital raised by portfolio companies,

Goals:

  1. Make Georgia an epicenter for Healthcare Technology startups.
  2. Screen and accelerate a dedicated Healthcare Technology pipeline of viable Georgia-based start-up companies.
  3. Accelerate innovation by bringing together the HealthTech ecosystem to facilitate transformational growth and development.
  4. Accelerate the commercialization pathway for healthcare technology startups by uniting technology innovation with industry and capital.

ATDC Mentor network

At any given point in time, ATDC has more than 50 active volunteer mentors. Mentors are tapped to advise ATDC entrepreneurs and companies on a variety of topics, ranging from developing funding strategies, contract negotiations, health benefit plans, financial planning and reporting to negotiating with angels and hiring for growth. Additionally, ATDC provides access to mentors with HealthTech expertise to help MedTech, Biotech, and Digital Health companies with product development, manufacturing, regulatory compliance, reimbursement strategies, and commercialization.

ATDC Marketplace

Leverage membership to access discounted products and services to help you grow your start-up through the ATDC Member Marketplace. Find discounted product and consulting services from vetted ATDC partners ranging from AWS credits to discounted digital marketing platform licensing to discounted legal and accounting services and platforms.

ATDC Design Studio

Healthcare Technology entrepreneurs with a need to build a physical product receive help and guidance to make physical prototypes and a space with their peers where they can do it. Access to the Studio is limited to Accelerate & Signature companies.

Center for MedTech Excellence Affiliation

ATDC is a proud partner and collaborator with the Global Center for Medical Innovation (GCMI) and Georgia Manufacturing Extension Partnership (GaMEP) to deliver the Center for MedTech Excellence. The Center catalyzes the development and commercialization of breakthrough biotechnology, medical devices, life science, and therapeutic innovations. Lab Space

ATDC portfolio Healthcare Technology companies with a need for lab space are offered preferred access to available lab space on the campus of Georgia Tech.

About the Lead Catalyst

Greg Jungles

Greg has served as CIO, CTO and chief data officer for multiple healthcare/health technology companies ranging from startup to $1B in annual revenue in size. He brings executive-level experience and has played key roles in leading technology transformation while driving growth and organizational change in multiple venture capital or private equity-backed companies. Most recently, Greg has helped multiple self-funded healthcare startups as a strategy consultant and technology advisor.

Greg began his career as a technology developer and has led software, data, and product development teams to deliver right-sized technology solutions that anticipate future strategy pivots and scalability needs. In addition to Greg’s technology development expertise, he has extensive practical and leadership experience in technology strategy, roadmap development, project/product management, data governance, analytics, business intelligence, and HIPAA compliance.

Over the course of his professional career, Greg has proven to be effective at quickly understanding business goals to develop aligned technology strategy and execution roadmaps. He is adept at translating technology concepts and discipline into business terms and has a recognized ability to build engaged teams and deliver innovative, right-sized technology solutions that are aligned with strategic business needs.

Greg obtained his bachelor’s degree from James Madison University. He and his wife have lived in metro Atlanta for about 15 years and spend much of their spare time renovating an 1890s farmhouse.
