Twelve Georgia-based healthcare technology companies will
be selected to virtually pitch to venture capitalists and investors.

The Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC), the state of Georgia’s globally recognized technology incubator, is now accepting applications from healthcare technology startups for its upcoming 2020 ATDC Venture Showcase Sept. 29-Oct. 1.

Building on the success of the Venture Showcases held across the United States during the past three years and the most recent virtual showcase held in March 2020, ATDC and its co-hosts will arrange pitch viewings and 1:1 meetings with venture capitalists based east of the Mississippi River that invest in healthcare technology companies. The success of previous ATDC Venture Showcases is one reason the incubator’s portfolio companies have raised more than $100 million for the past three consecutive years.

To be eligible, applicants must be Georgia-headquartered healthcare technology companies intending to raise a Series A or higher in the next 12 months. Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Aug. 21, 2020. Companies may apply using this link: 2020 ATDC Venture Showcase.

The 12 companies selected for the Virtual Showcase will be notified Aug. 31, 2020, after the selection committee has reviewed all applications.

The ATDC Venture Showcase series is co-hosted by Aprio, Silicon Valley Bank, Venture Atlanta, DLA Piper, and the Metro Atlanta Chamber.

The effort is ATDC’s ninth Showcase to meet investors based outside Atlanta since launching the initiative in February 2017.

“Even amidst this unprecedented time that has changed the day-to-day way the startup ecosystem operates, we continue to foster relationships between our Georgia startups and investors across the country,” said ATDC Investor Relations Manager Brad Schweizer.

“At a time where it is hard to source deal flow, or find a funding resource, these virtual showcase events allow us to connect highly curated startups with tailored investors who are eager for new investment opportunities — all from the comfort of their remote working space.”

The initiative is an offshoot of ATDC’s highly successful Investor Connect program. That effort allows funders — from angels to venture capitalists and corporate investors — to interact with the highly vetted, market disruptive, investor-ready companies in ATDC’s Signature and Accelerate portfolios.
