2017 SAVStartup Bootcamp Schedule

Entrepreneurs will participate in interactive workshops and mentor sessions designed to walk them through best practices in planning and launching their product. The interactive program will help entrepreneurs identify and vet their target customer segments, articulate the value proposition, make financial projections, and prepare them to meet with investors. At completion of the bootcamp, graduates will showcase at the Savannah Demo day and pitch event to investors from the entire region. The winner will receive a prize of $10,000 cash, courtesy of SEDA.

Savannah area founders of product and technology startups who are actively building their companies. All participants will be required to attend at least 80 percent of the workshops to graduate.


Creators Foundry – All Workshops and coffee hours will be held in the ATDC room at the Creators Foundry.


Day/Time of the week will be set with the class. Attend a workshop every week with a founders’ circle discussion to follow. See workshop schedule below.

Fridays @ 9 AM: Gather for coffee and conversation (almost) every Friday with fellow founders and mentors. Meet with mentors one on one for connections and advice and chat with fellow founders.


Week 1 (February 6-10): Introductions, Goal-setting, customer research

Week 2 (February 13-17): Customer Discovery Part 1:. Identify your target customers and value proposition

Week 3 (Februry 20-24) : Customer Discover Part 2. Validate target customers.

Week 4 (February 27-31): Business Model Canvas Part 1: How to reach and acquire customers (channels).

Week 5 (March 6-10): Business Model Canvas Part 2 – Complete product roadmap and business model.

Week 6 (March 13-17): Sales & Marketing

Week 7 (March 20-24): Financial Literacy

Week 8 (March 27-31): Executive Summary & Elevator Pitch

Week 9 & 10 (April) Investor Pitch Preparation

April (TBD): SAV Startup Demo day and Bootcamp Graduate pitches

Blake Ellis – Serial Entrepreneur and Softtware Engineer.

Gordon Matthews – Consumer product guru, early stage business consultant and former CEO of Savannah Bee Company.

Brian Bason – Serial Entrepreneur and Founder and CEO of Bark.

Murem Sharpe– Software entrepreneur, Enterprise Sales Guru and advisor to medical startups.
