The Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) expands its catalyst ranks with the addition of full-stack marketer and entrepreneur Jacqui Chew to its team. As a startup catalyst, Chew will serve as a marketing strategy advisor to companies in the ATDC Accelerate and ATDC Signature portfolios, in addition to developing a program that will help them identify and fill their respective marketing needs. She will also provide guidance on evolving the ATDC brand.

“Our startup companies told us they wanted in-depth coaching and guidance with developing marketing strategies,” said Jennifer Bonnett, ATDC’s acting general manager. “Jacqui’s expertise both as a businessowner and marketer of startups complements ATDC’s mission as Georgia’s technology incubator that works with entrepreneurs to help them learn, launch, scale, and succeed.”

Chew is a long-time advocate of Georgia’s innovation ecosystem. In the last 20 years, she launched dozens of products and companies and helped startups raise more than $70 million in capital. She was the first executive marketing hire at Silverpop and part of the management team that raised a $30 million Series B round. IBM acquired Silverpop in 2014 for $270 million.

“As an ardent believer that innovation is a key ingredient in economic development, I am honored to work alongside the talented ATDC team in helping companies build and grow their business,” Chew said. “I’ve spent the last 18 years of my career helping entrepreneurs achieve their vision and to be able to build a program that will do this at scale is exciting.”

In addition to operating go-to-market collective iFusion, Chew is the licensee and organizer of TEDxPeachtree, the largest TEDx group in the state of Georgia. She is a sought after speaker on digital strategy, entrepreneurship and integrated marketing and has spoken at conferences in the United States as well as Singapore and China. Chew has also given a TED Talk. Her work in entrepreneurship with women and people of color– has been recognized by her peers. She was named a “Game Changer” by Spelman College in the 2015 Women of Color Conference and is the recipient of the Chozen Awards and the Digitini Awards.

Chew is a resident of Chamblee, Georgia and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Hawaii, Manoa. She speaks Mandarin, Cantonese, and Taiwanese.
