Got a question or two about intellectual property (IP)?

Rusty Close, an intellectual property attorney at Troutman Sanders in Atlanta, is holding office hours for Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) members on July 21.

The office hours — scheduled for 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. — follow ATDC’s Beyond Customer Discovery for Product Entrepreneurs Intellectual Property Classes that were held in June.

Those classes covered the basics of IP and a broad overview of how patents and trademarks work — specifically for startups.

The office hours, open to all ATDC members and at no charge, is an opportunity for entrepreneurs who have questions or challenges to obtain expert insight.

“This is an opportunity to give ATDC members access to legal resources, especially in the area of intellectual property,” said Jenny Bass, an ATDC community catalyst who advises ATDC Select and Community companies that have a manufacturing focus.
