More than 800 registered to attend the 2015 ATDC Startup Showcase on April 2 — a record for the event.

The Showcase is the Advanced Technology Development Center’s (ATDC) signature event of the year and features startups showing their most innovative and problem-solving solutions across a number of diverse sectors.

The Showcase is underscores how critical ATDC is to economic development, said Stephen Fleming, its director. ATDC is part of the Enterprise Innovation Institute, which is the economic development and business outreach arm of the Georgia Institute of Technology.

ATDC, through its programs and outreach efforts, works with technology startups across Georgia to help them develop into sound, sustainable businesses.

“All net job growth in the United States comes from new companies,” Fleming said. “So these sorts of startups that are going to scale up and hire high-value, high-quality jobs in Georgia is one of the ways we’re having huge impact on the economy of our state.

This year’s Showcase featured 40 companies that exhibited their technologies, making it the largest ever. In addition, 13 companies graduated out of ATDC’s highly intensive Select program — its largest class ever. The graduates were recognized in a special ceremony.

The graduates include:

  • Azalea Health
  • Bifisica
  • Clinigence
  • CN2
  • IdeaString
  • Rigor
  • Sila Nanotechnologies
  • Social123
  • Softwear Automation
