Dolan P. Falconer Jr., co-founder and CEO of ScanTech Holdings LLC, is the scheduled keynote speaker at the 2015 ATDC Startup Showcase, the Southeast’s premier tech-oriented entrepreneur expo.

The April 2 event at the Georgia Tech Hotel & Conference Center draws entrepreneurs, leaders in the tech space, and investors, and will feature more than 40 of Atlanta’s most promising startups showcasing their technologies.

The Showcase’s keynote speaker addresses attendees and graduates on his or her personal ATDC experience and how the incubator, which is a program of the Georgia Institute of Technology, helped their startup.

Falconer will give his remarks during the 4:30 p.m. graduation — sponsored by the AT&T Foundry — of the 13 ATDC startups that have successfully met the incubator’s criteria.

ScanTech is an e-beam and x-ray company that develops industrial and homeland security-related applications from its proprietary technology. It is a 2007 ATDC graduate. Headquartered in Atlanta at Tech Square, the company’s manufacturing and engineering operations are in Buford.

“ATDC and Georgia Tech’s commitment to nurturing and supporting the startup and growth of high tech companies has shaped the future of Georgia,” Falconer said, “and made it a place where technology entrepreneurship can flourish.”

Falconer holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in nuclear engineering from Georgia Tech, where he is a member of the School of Engineering’s Academy of Distinguished Alumni.

As a ScanTech co-founder, he plays a key role in securing investment capital to fund technology acquisitions, subsidiary startup initiatives, and product development.

Prior to launching ScanTech, he co-founded and served as executive vice president of Parallax Inc., a privately held environmental and nuclear engineering company with annual revenue of more than $20 million.

The 2015 ATDC Startup Showcase is April 2 at the Georgia Tech Hotel & Conference Center. Tickets are $40, but students, faculty, and staff at any Georgia university or college will be admitted for free. Please register at this link.
