Blake Ellis is ATDC's newest Entrepreneur in Residence and is based in Savannah.

The Advanced Technology Development Center’s Entrepreneur in Residence program pairs Select Companies with successful businesspeople who serve as guides, coaches, and resources to help those firms thrive and grow.

We’ve done a fair amount of work across the state, particularly in the Savannah metro area, so we are pleased to announce our newest EIR, Blake Ellis.

A co-founder of CommerceV3, which focuses on the e-commerce needs of mid- to large-sized retailers, Ellis will mentor Savannah-area entrepreneurs and do outreach to local startups to explore how ATDC can best help them.

“One of my goals is to really try to make people understand the benefits of ATDC,” Ellis said. “We will talk about the different programs, like IndustryConnect, they may not know about.”

He also will keep watch on promising companies that spin out of area schools such as Armstrong State University, the Savannah College of Art and Design, and Georgia Southern University.

“There are investor opportunities in Savannah and mentoring in Savannah — there’s quite a bit of activity going on,” Ellis said, explaining ATDC can serve as that bridge between entrepreneurs in metro Savannah and those individuals and programs that can help them and their startups.
