EMBA Collaboration
Entrepreneurial and Business Collaboration Program
Each year the curriculum of Georgia Tech College of Management EMBA in Management of Technology program includes the development of business plans by teams of Executive MBA students.
This highly competitive program culminates with the presentation of the business plans to panels of judges who evaluate and critique each plan. The subsequent academic grade for each project is based on the judges’ evaluations.
2012 brings an enhancement to the program with the pairing of three student teams with three companies at the Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC). The student teams will develop a business plan in collaboration with their assigned company. The results will be presented and evaluated in the Georgia Tech Business Plan Competition in March 2012..
The objective is to add a major element of reality to the academic program by involving a group of real ATDC companies in the process for a significant benefit for student and companies alike. Selected ATDC companies will conclude the program with a well-developed business and financial plan, executive summary and investor presentation created in collaboration with the Executive MBA team and guided/advised by College of Management faculty and ATDC staff.
Applications to participate in the program are open to any ATDC company meeting the following qualifications:
- Product concept is well defined with some market validation/confirmation
- Committed, core team of entrepreneurs
- Early stage – i.e. No formal business or financial plan
Deadline to submit application November 21st and the program starts the first week of December
