In addition to providing startups with the skills and opportunities to grow their customer base, we support those who seek capital beyond that available to them via traditional lending sources such as financial institutions, friends, and family members.
Our coaching staff prepares entrepreneurs in both ATDC Educate and ATDC portfolio for a successful negotiation and help connect them to opportunities – enabling them to make the best choice for their business. We offer entrepreneurs education, guidance, and connections through two primary programs.
ATDC Investor Connect
The ATDC Investor Connect program helps connect ATDC portfolio companies to private capital. A dedicated program manager tracks, monitors, and reports on regional and national investment trends and is available for consultations. In addition, ATDC’s coaching staff works with each presenting company to hone and polish its pitch. We don’t rest until your pitch and placement materials are perfect. An Angel in Residence is also on-hand to provide guidance.

Our portfolio companies are prominently featured at venture conferences from Atlanta to Silicon Valley and have raised capital from local, regional, and national funding sources. They rely on their ATDC credentials as proof to investors that they have been vetted and groomed for the funding process.
Federal Research Funding
Do you need seed funds to help transform your research into a technology-based startup company? Do you need scientific/technical research funds to advance your technology and help expand your company?
ATDC helps our members understand and take advantage of Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) research funding opportunities. Federal agencies are looking to fund high-risk scientific/technical research with a high commercial potential. SBIR and STTR are federal funding programs that allow small, high-tech companies to compete for research awards of up to $1.5 million each. SBIR and STTR awards can help companies transform innovative ideas into commercial products.
Creating a competitive proposal for an SBIR or STTR grant/contract requires diligence, planning, and attention to detail. ATDC Educate members are encouraged to attend our SBIR Workshops and Circles. ATDC portfolio companies receive more personalized service from our SBIR Catalyst.
ATDC holds regular and topically relevant SBIR classes and workshops. Find the next opportunity to learn more.
