Georgia Tech created the Financial Technology (FinTech) Program at the Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) in 2015 following Worldpay US’ $1 million gift to the Institute to support it. Since that initial three-year sponsorship, Elavon, a global payments provider and subsidiary of U.S. Bancorp, announced a new and significant, three-year financial commitment with a gift to Georgia Tech that further accelerates innovation across financial and payments technologies.
The ATDC FinTech program creates a unique collaboration between a nonprofit, university-based incubator and major financial services firms to help launch and scale FinTech companies in Georgia.
