ATDC and 151 Locust are partnering to deliver services to DeKalb area early seed stage technology entrepreneurs. These services include office hours/consulting services, connections to advisors for practical business assistance, educational brown bags, and interactive workshops.
The first meeting of the DeKalb Circle will be held on Friday, October 16th from 8:30am to 9:30am at 151 Locust, Avondale Estates. Ed Rieker, Founder of 151 Locust, and Mary Leary, ATDC Startup Catalyst, will facilitate the meeting and will hold office hours following the meeting. The meeting will give you the opportunity to share your experiences and to learn from the experiences of other entrepreneurs. Please join us.

Scott Hrastar has been named ATDC's most recent Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR). Scott's strong entrepreneurial background and experience in rapidly growing successful companies is a great asset to ATDC. Member companies now have access to another great resource in Scott.
Scott is a serial entrepreneur who has both founded and led a number of successful technology businesses. Scott co-founded and sold AirDefense to Motorola and was later a member of the senior management team that drove the acquisition of Intellisync by Nokia. While at Nokia, Scott focused on technology strategy and M&A, successfully acquiring several mobility companies for Nokia during his tenure. He is a recognized authority in wired and wireless network communication systems, with particular focus in both enterprise and consumer mobility and security. Scott is also an accomplished innovator and has authored 32 patents.
As CTO and co-founder of AirDefense, he led the development of the world's first wireless intrusion detection and protection solution and helped to grow a business that reached more than half of the Fortune 100. In recognition of this innovation, InfoWorld selected Scott as one of the world's top 25 CTO's in 2005.
Scott holds a B.S.E.E. degree from the Ohio State University, where he graduated as a Presidential Honor Scholar, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

The ATDC community has gained a valuable resource with the addition of a new Entrepreneur In Residence. Blake Patton has joined the team, bringing great knowledge and experience to our bench. Blake's role at ATDC is to provide mentoring to member companies as well as helping to grow the community through other valuable resources and potential new members.
Blake is an experienced technology executive with over 15 years of international payment card, financial services, transaction processing, software, and e-commerce industry experience ranging from early stage entrepreneurial to publicly-traded technology companies.
Most recently, Blake was CEO of iKobo, a global payments company that provides prepaid card remittance services. Previously Blake was EVP and Managing Director of IXL Europe, General Manager of IXL's Boston Office, founder and President of Siteman, VP of Swan Media, and Marketing Manager at SEI Corporation.
Blake earned a Bachelor degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Georgia Tech, where he was captain of the Swimming and Diving Team. Blake served on the Georgia Tech National Advisory Board (1990-1994) and was inducted into the Georgia Tech College of Engineering Council of Outstanding Young Engineering Alumni. He is active in the Alzheimer's Association and has co-chaired the Atlanta Memory Walk and the North Fulton Memory Walk.
