ATDC’s team is dedicated to helping technology entrepreneurs succeed. Meet the team who make things happen at ATDC.

Nina leads ATDC and its efforts to support the commercialization of innovative technology throughout Georgia. She has over 15 years of of startup and enterprise experience, most recently as a co-founder and CEO of a platform technology company.

Ivy has over 10 years of experience in the administrative field. She works closely with the startup catalysts to deliver outstanding programs and services to ATDC members.

Barbara joined Georgia Tech in 2005 and is currently an Administrative Coordinator for ATDC. Prior to EI2, Barbara worked for the past 30 years at the Department of Community Health, Georgia State University, Marriott Marquis, Georgia-Pacific, and First Interstate Bank. Barbara has experience in the fields of administration, secretarial and customer service. Utilizing Georgia Tech’s tuition assistance program, Barbara is currently a student majoring in International Business.
Entrepreneurs in Residence (EIRs)

Tim Dorr is an Atlanta-based entrepreneur and investor. Graduating from Georgia Tech in 2005 with a BS in Computer Science, he started his first company selling website hosting service while still in his 3rd year of classes. That company, A Small Orange, went on to service over 15,000 customers and was sold in early 2010.

Hezi Moore, the founder of Reflex Systems (Reflex Security), brings more than 20 years experience in security, virtualization, cloud infrastructure, and entrepreneurial expertise. Hezi led the effort to develop the industry’s first Virtual Security Appliance (VSA) that provides visibility, management and security for virtual network infrastructure.

Blake brings 20 years of leadership in startup, venture backed, and publicly traded internet, software, payments, and financial services technology companies.
Blake also founded, and later sold, one of the first application service provider (ASP) companies in the online content management space.
Community Catalyst

Jennifer Bonnett is a technology entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in information technology/software development, specializing in web and mobile technologies.

Chip Schooler is a 30-year veteran of the technology industry focused on the commercialization of technologies that can be used to solve real-world problems. Chip has brought to market products as diverse as enterprise-wide laptop backup, security appliances for small-to-medium businesses, ISP services for multi-national corporations and a Software-as-a-Service state sales tax service.
Executive in Residence

Steve Rushing has more than three decades of experience in health care management and information systems, with clients ranging from community hospitals and multi-specialty clinics to home health care agencies and health maintenance organizations. He currently serves as director of health@ei2, a Georgia Tech Enterprise Innovation Institute program, as well as executive-in-residence at the Health Systems Institute.
Startup Catalyst

Julie focuses on assisting life science companies secure federal SBIR/STTR dollars. In the past five years, she has assisted with more than a 100 applications. Julie is Director of the Georgia FAST Program which provides assistance to minority/woman-owned and non-metro Atlanta firms with their SBIR/STTR applications. Julie holds a Masters of Science in Molecular Genetics from Emory University.

Orjan is a Startup Catalyst in Savannah. Previously he was Managing Director of CONNECT Sweden, assisting entrepreneurs to start and develop technology companies. Under Orjan’s leadership, CONNECT grew to eight networks with 20 offices closely linked to the major universities in Sweden. Orjan has a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology.

Dr. Shlevin is a 30-year bioscience-industry executive with broad senior management experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics and vaccines; he has founded two startup companies.
