About

The Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) is a startup accelerator that helps technology entrepreneurs in Georgia launch and build successful companies. Founded in 1980, ATDC has helped create millions of dollars in tax revenues by graduating more than 130 companies, which together have raised over a billion dollars in outside financing. Headquartered in Atlanta’s Technology Square, ATDC serves as the hub for technology entrepreneurship in Georgia.

ATDC provides business incubation and acceleration services to hundreds of startups through coaching, connecting and community. Membership is open to all technology startup companies in Georgia, from those at the earliest conception stage to revenue generating, venture-fundable companies.

The ATDC team, including Entrepreneurs in Residence and Community Catalysts, work one on one with member companies and offer a wealth of knowledge, experience and networking opportunities. Startup Circles allow technology entrepreneurs from outside of metro Atlanta to informally meet and learn from ATDC staff and mentors, as well as one another. ATDC also hosts regular events with access to leading entrepreneurs, mentors and investors. ATDC Connect is a program that introduces ATDC companies to investors and corporations.

With two facilities on Georgia Tech’s main campus and one on its satellite campus in Savannah, ATDC members benefit from a close proximity with the school and connections to other Georgia research universities. ATDC is part of startup services at Georgia Tech’s Enterprise Innovation Institute (EI2) and partners with VentureLab, Georgia Tech’s center for technology commercialization, and Flashpoint, a new, lean startup accelerator program.
