SeedSpace

ATDC is pleased to announce SeedSpace.  SeedSpace is approximately 1,200 square feet that ATDC has set aside for early seed stage companies that have both a pressing need for office space and a desire to enter ATDC’s incubator program.  It’s somewhat like coworking, but really startups at work.  Think of it as an early stage incubator within an incubator.

We have been working on making SeedSpace a reality since last August.  The drivers being to find room for entrepreneurs when they are in the early stages of concept development as well as ventures that are not quite ATDC ready but need space.

As I predicted on my personal blog last year, SeedSpace remains within the mission of ATDC to help Georgia technology entrepreneurs.  What we want to do with SeedSpace is better assist technology startups and the entrepreneurs that create them.

So what is SeedSpace?

  • Seven individually keyed offices
  • Eight workstations
  • Use of three third floor conference rooms
  • Free Internet access
  • 90 day lease terms
  • 120 day max time in Seed Space
  • 24 hour proximty card access
  • Discounted parking

Prices per month are currently $225 for an office and $150 for a workstation.  As this program is designed for entrepreneurs and companies that have a desire to enter ATDC’s incubator program the best way to learn more is to complete an inquiry and someone will be in touch with you in short order.

Lance, this is great concept for someone that needs office space, something beyond a table at a coffee shop. Thanks for making it happen.

For someone looking for a co-working space, but for more than 120 days of runway, do you know of good options in Atlanta?

What about daily rates? Or for partial usage of a desk during the lease terms?

I'd never really need 9-5, 5 days per week of coworking space. More like 3 or 4 hours a day 2 or 3 days a week. Seems silly to pay for the whole time when I'd only be using it for 20% of the work week.

Thank you for putting this together. I think this is a great thing you have put together and excited to see it work out for the community.

The Entrepreneurs Resource Center on the first floor is a great option if you are not working on your startup on a full-time basis and don't want to shell out the $150. It is first come first serve space and there is always room. Best of all it is free.

Is this the first official program of it's kind in Georgia? If so, I think that's something to harp on.

I'm excited for everybody about the opportunity. The resources available keep on growing.

Just hope that parking discount is sufficient…

This is an excellent development Lance. Very helpful for entrepreneurs and also a great way to attract startups to ATDC.

Well done!

Congrats on this Lance. I always wondered why you guys didn't have something like this before… As usual, great for making this happen.

good call, lance….we have been doing it here at emergememphis for a yr now as part of mercury tech labs and it is working and most importantly catering to that single entrepreneur who has a compelling idea or wants to moonlight. there have already been a few companies that have formed as a result of this effort/collaboration…hope all else has been well….
